Tall Pines Retriever Club Leesburg, GA. May 7, 2011 - After training for three years, I arrived with 19-month old Reese at my first Derby. We would have run sooner but she came into heat the first week of March. At the beginning of May, she moved to a new pro. After one week on the truck and some power struggles of adjustment, we headed to the trial not knowing what to expect. Long story short- she blew me away! Third place out of 19 dogs! We ran 4th and had to head home to feed the other dogs, uncertain if she would finish. Will post updated award photo later. Thanks to Jerry and Jean Day for training Reese from 9 weeks old and for training me from 47 years old. Without them, we would be lost in the deep cover and continually breaking down under the factors. Thanks also to Mike Ough for a great first week on his truck and keeping me focused on the line so Reese could get it done. Thanks to Glen & Jen Guider, our training partners and friends.

Outstanding! Congratulations to you and Reese. You've both worked really hard and it shows in the results. Expecting big things this fall. Keep it up!

Congrats to Reese...I knew she was special from about 5 weeks on. I hope she continues to "blow you away"!!
