Prayers needed

If you guys could send some my sons way. Last night he was assaulted on his walk home from his mothers house. He has a shattered nose and 3 other broken bones in his face.
They caught the 17 yr old punk that did this. They can't operate until the swelling goes down in his face which will be a couple weeks from now. All this 4 days before his sisters wedding.
For his sake they better keep this kid locked up.
What is with these kids beating people to this point? No one, no matter what deserves this kind of beating.

Prayers for your son most definitely!

I believe we also need to keep all of our kids in our daily prayers. The world they are growing up in is not the same as when we were growing up. I fear for my grandkids and now my great-grandson. I plan to do all I can to keep them with good family values. I feel very fortunate that I have a very close relationship with my soon to be 17 year old granddaughter. The things she shares with me about what goes on in her school and neighborhood makes me want to cry. Kids beating up other kids, kids getting high, kids showing no respect for their parents/teachers/adults/others.

I hope your son heals quickly with no permanent damage.

Prayers are sent your way. Unfortunately there is a culture of increasing disrespect and violence in our youth. It is prevalent in NYC schools where I worked as a Dean of Discipline. Unfortunately it has reached your area.

Huge Prayers every Day for our Country and our Youth.... Why do we have to promote Violence in TV, Media, Video Games... It has De-sensitized our Youth...to violence... I just don't understand the gain to keep "One Upping" the Sensationalism.... I want to go back to "Leave it to Beaver, The Lone Ranger" and other shows that promoted Good and under laying Values of Good. I want to get back the AMERICA I LOVE! Parents take hold... I believe in God and want it back in our life, Schools and COMMUNITY!!!!!!

That is horrid. There is another young man on the Today Show with his parents this AM..that had much the same thing happen. He was nearly killed in the radom beating.

It is so sad...the mindset of those out just looking for someone to hurt, rob etc. It is too bad they are not at work..and looking to make a good life for themselves. The culture in which they live? ...very sad.

All I know is this punk, hurt my boy and his sister is going to be crushed by this. She was looking forward to coming to Ohio just to see her brothers and now one is hospitalized. I'm trying real hard to keep from going out and kicking this kids azz. I'm letting the LEO take care of it. Keep a cool head and goodness will prevail.
