I'm getting a puppy(BML) in about 10 days (the 27th) and am having a hard time deciding on a name. We have several options that we've come up with, but I'm also struggling with using the kennel name or going with "FOM" as my kennel name? I'm not required to use the breeder's kennel name but if I don't I'd like to at least work in a reference to the dam. Also since this will probably be the last puppy we will get while Flash is still with us, I'd like to incorporate an acknowledgement to him (Flash of Mischief).

Dam's registered name: Bowmans Dreamin of Retrievin (Reba)
Sire's registered name: Cody Cut A Lean Grade (Grady)

What we've come up with:

<kennel name> Make it So Number One (Riker)
<kennel name> Dreamin of Making Mischief (Rascal)
<kennel name> Shooting for Mischief (Shooter or Archer)

Thoughts? Suggestions? Ideas?

Wait till you get him. His personality will give you a name.
when I get a new puppy it will have sometimes 2/3 names that Ill call it for several days. Them the name will just fit when you say it.This is one of my favorite things of getting a new puppy.

Mischief is my brother - rascal rowdy

I like going with FOM for a kennel name-we sure all would know who it is and there is the tribute. I think it's a neat kennel name.

I like Riker alot , where did it come from? Most of my males start with R names. Maybe something other than Make it Number one-name omen fears. riker

Riker: noun: an under 35 year-old hipster with a beard.

Derived from the beard worn by Willaim Riker, 1st Officer on the Starship Enterprise.

I thought it was "Make it so, Number One". Not a Trekkie geek regards ;-)

I like FOM as a kennel name too.
