Crazy, I wouldn't want to mess with that old lady

To kind of go along with this article, I have a question for those in the figid north, especially those that work and leave their dogs for an extended period of time. What are some things you do in the morning to tire your dogs out so they relax during the day?? I currently live in the city and am having problems thinking of things to do with my dog so he can relax during the day when I'm at work. Right now he's too amped up and I feel he gets bored real quickly and likes to get in trouble in his kennel. What type of morning exercised do you do and for how long? Thanks in advance!

If you have snow a good romp thru it should do the trick. I know when we get the deep stuff a good 1/2 hour outside and they sleep pretty good.
With being in the city a good walk around the block a few times should do it. What happens to you when your outside in the cold and you hit the warmth of the house and sit down. I feel it has the same effect on our dogs.
