Tritronics was purchased by Garmin, and some of us were concerned about how the company might change. Historically, I've had great customer service from Tritronics.

I use the Sport Combo G3, that has a vertical dial on the face. Lately, the clip that registers the dial movement isn't as crisp and accurate. There are times I need to look down to confirm what setting I've turned the unit to when I adjust it with one hand.

Now this unit is 3 years old, and I said to them go through the unit and make sure it is working fine in all ways. The estimated cost was $65. I mailed the unit on Monday, and was told they would receive it yesterday, Thursday.

I received the unit today, and they gave me an entire new transmitter. At the bottom of the sales order was the following-

Replaced the entire transmitter
Your transmitter has six month repair warranty.
We know you have a choice. Thank you for choosing
Tritronics.

It is a good thing because now the technology will be integrated into the new products. I would really like a GPS device to track my golden if he gets lost. I got the new bird caller gadget to give him a warning before the zap comes if he doesn't do the right thing. Customer service is good as always. The prices should drop.

TT customer service is as good as ever. I had an issue with one of my recievers recently, sent it in for repair. A few days later a brand new reciever showed up, no charge.

I wouldn't use sportdog if they paid ME to....I had NOTHING but trouble with them
