I am really considering spraying it with truck bed liner... It comes in colors now...

Do you think thats just to *******?? Or am I onto sumpin as far as durability.....

I dont want to pull the old tub out.

Mrs Gooser (MRS MICHAELBAKER) says shes done ifn I do the bed liner thing...

Yea but you have to look at Mikes point of view, They put the tubs in when the house is in the framing stage for a reason, They are a B6%^^% to get out and in right now, you almost have to tear a wall out,

One thing for sure,,,, If you put that ******* rubber on your tub , you will never need a back scratcher again :):)

I had one refinished rather than replaced, even though we were redoing the whole bathroom, because it was a comfy, deep cast iron tub that I liked---about 60 years old. The finish had a much longer guarantee than a brand new tub.

It needs redone again, while the new tub in the basement (not comfy and not deep, though) is still good.

What a cluster!:p

I have a couple a loose tiles... a tub that got a scratch of two,,,

This has now turned into a complete demolition of the shower/tub walls to install all new tile. Refinish/ replace the tub,, a new BOODAY SEAT along with the water trough that sits underneath it and rocket jet flushes yer business away, a new Vanity with countertop, and a new floor....

Seriously..

What I thought all I was gonna have to do was just Gorilla glue a tile or two back in place, and get Bubba to come over and bed line the tub:rolleyes:

Let's see if Mrs Gooser's taste is as extravegant as Mrs Kevinismybrother. :p
I sent her out so do some shopping and she came back with one piece of trim. Had to redo the whole dang thing to match the tiny piece of trim she wanted to add. Our bathroom upgrade spilled over into the Master and went over the $30,000 mark. Yours sounds CHEAP to me!!!:confused:

Good news is you can now feel free to get them new training gizmos for Flinch with no regrets or guilt!:p:p

Most reglazes last slightly longer than the time it takes to cash the check. Keep the peace and just replace the tub and tiles.

You guys with these pictures of Fancy contraptions to soak In!!!

Our barthroom seriously defines a "Water Closet"
Fer you over dooo---ers in Texas,,,Thats what a bthroom is correctly called on archetichurlogicalistic drawerings..

I went to Texas once,, drove fer 4 days and got knowwhere..

Ours is really a CLOSET with water in it...

Thats why I am so concerened about removing the tub...
Its like that crazy sucker Kevin Eskem said...
The tub was "Placed" in the frame stage,, I know fer a fact ,I will have to remove a wall to get it out...Its a REALLY small bathroom... Matches the resta the house..

Idont wanna do that..

Most tubs are placed in during that stage...

They actually come out pretty easy when you remove the drywall/concrete board above them, then the screws holding it in and it lifts out easy, well except for the weight if it is a cast iron tub. Other option is to take a grinder with a cutting wheel and cut it in half and remove it that way.

The tub I listed fits in the same space as most common size tubs, and when a new tub costs 300 or more and my steam shower tub was also 300 I had to make the upgrade.
