I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this collar. I'm in the market for an e collar for my pup and like the low profile design on this collar, but can't find many review on it. Any help would be great. Thanks

I have one and like it. It is not my everyday training collar. I have a Tri Tronics Pro 100 for every day training. Just like the tubular transmitter design better for training work. The ARC is my hunting collar as I love the small transmitter and low profile receiver for that. I keep it on the truck as my back up collar, and have trained with it. It works just fine. They say the stim isn't as hot as some of the other collars, but I have tested it on myself and it has plenty of juice. Dogtra makes an excellent product. You won't be disappointed if you select a Dogtra.

Bought Bradybucks arc from him and have been very happy with it. Huge upgrade over the sportdog I ran for almost 18 months. Can really customize the level of intensity. I find it better to have the points on one side of the neck or another, straight forward didn't seem to get consistent contact resulting in inconsistent simulation and correction. If the arc had a audible beep feature so I knew it was on, it would be perfect.

I have the arc use it about everyday. I got it because of the low profile design....I have black lab and u cannot tell it is an e collar. I train a lot in public places....soccer fields....etc and don't want to hear Peta talk. My collar holds charge long time and has always been consistent. Took a little while to get used to controller...I had tried tropics before.....I actually prefer the TT controller. Dogtra had a 60 or 90 day trial when I bought mine...deal was that if you didn't like it for any reason....rtn for full refund within time frame.....I did have to call dogtra and order from them for trial....kept the collar and has been great.....we have used it in ocean...rivers lakes.... hunting trips to Missouri breaking ice etc...never had a problem!
. Most of the time I leave mine on level 20. Ymmv

As well as the low profile design the Arc is a low to medium intensity collar versus the 1900S which is a low to high intensity collar.

Depends on the dog .... it very well be strong enough depending upon your dog!

Thanks for all the replies! After going back and forth I decided on the 1900s. Not for strength reasons but because I liked having a nick and continuos button without having to use the toggle switch the arc has.

Great collar, got mine about 2 months ago and love it. It is plenty strong enough for my 70lb male.
Weight and gender has nothing to do with it .... it's all about the dog's sensitivity to pressure.
