I recently taught my dog hold and she is doing well. She will hold it still in her mouth if I walk away and even for a few minuets. The only problem is she won't hold it hard enough for me to pull on it, or tap the ends. She holds it very light in her mouth. How do I get across to her that she has to hold it tighter? Especially after not doing this from the start?

What FF program are you following?When i'm at that stage in hold and the dog loose holds i tap it out and apply ear pinch pressure until the dowel/buck/roller are back in,when i see the dog start to tighten up and then actively reach for the object as i approach,then i transistion to EP fetch.
