I walk the likely "corridor" to each mark, and to the blind at every hunt test I judge.................to look for hidden stuff that can injure a dog.

And I do get on a knee at the line to watch the marks thrown....................to get the dogs perspective!!!

In HRC; the "test dog" is required for the test................in order to show the handlers the marks, the blind, the suction, and any other factors. If I; as an HRC judge, think the test dog didn't show the true aspects of the test...................I WILL request another test dog. If'n no other test dog is available, I'll ask the handlers if anyone wants to run as test dog, but under judgement.
