I'm posting this before any weekend HT's so it doesn't look like sour grapes.
What is your opinion on Birds that are thrown behind hills with tall cover or into ditches with tall cover on either side. I know it is not possible nor practical to have the dog see the birds hit the ground (and don't think they should) but sometimes these are optical illusions to a dog. Behind hills sometimes means that the dog is 20 to 30 yards out of the area of the fall until you see them and then it's hard to handle back to the fall if you cant's see the area yourself. No griping because we train for this. Just soliciting opinions.
