You Can not go wrong with Tri Tronics the customar service I recived from them was just short of amazing every time I called they were really helpful and conserned for my needs the Collar it self if one of the best on the market.

Classic 70 G2 Exp up to 6 diffent Collars or lanchers or calls I mean it will help you out in many ways drop a few more dimes it will make up for its self many times over.

Tritronics G2 sport combo for around 200 is what I paid. That was from Gander Mountain.

Tri Tronics Pro 100 G2 raffel for Mark Smith check this out you can get one for ten bucks and if not you still did somthing good for Mark a man I dont know yet, but many people speak highly of!!!

A Cabela's sales guy told me the only collars that sell in high frequency is TT and Dogtra. And between those 2 Dogtra models come back to be either exchanged for a TT or minor issues. He told me the collar that sells the least is their own brand and Inno-tek and its the one that seems to be returned the most frequently. Not for being broken or whatnot, customer is not satisfied. Its all on record in their database, i bet you could walk into a store and just ask them about which collar they sell the most, returned for what reason, etc... they can bring the stats right up.

So... TT is the way to go.

i'll tell ya the extra moolah is worth it. i had a sport dog and had alot of probs. it is a good thing the CS is good or who knows. i spent the extra and got a dogtra and wish i had started with one. either go with that or a tri-tronics.

InnoTek is not your best bet. I have an InnoTek LapDog Trainer for my small dog and it works great BUT I would never get that brand for a field dog. I got the Innotek for the Minpin just because there was no other options out there because of her size, etc. that met my needs. Well, PetSafe makes one but rips you off because it is not rechargeable and you have to buy their expensive battery.

Anyhow, Given all the other choices out there I would go TT or Dogtra. One thing about the Innotek that I've been forewarned about people that have used Innotek collars is that they can do all kinds of weird stuff like pick up other signals and nick the dog when you didn't send a signal, also would change the level of correction without the operator doing so,etc. I think that is because the collars are not digitally programed like TT or Dogtra. Innotek does have a programing option on the collar but looks very limiting to me if you should get cross over signals disrupting the collar function.

If you can't afford new I would then look at refurbished/reconditioned models...some of them are like brand new!!! They just get traded in for a different model by their previous owner and have low mileage on them. Try like the collar clinic or other websites....

My ADV-1000 made it about 5yrs before giving it up. I will have to say that it never had good battery life for the transmitter. Always showed low battery life even with a new battery. Will get a different brand next time.

TT all the way you get what you pay for. I have the sports 80 m and love it won;t go to anything else for a collar. used my friends inojunk once and thats sll it took glad I didn't buy one.

Had one ... won't have another ... lasted about 1-1/2 years inopperable no chance for resonable repair [collar clini dosn't service them.

Now I have a TT Gen 1 Pro 100 2 dog bought from a friend. My recomendation is search your local club, e-bay collar clinic, borrow your buddy's until you can get one that is recomended above.... good luck .. oh it's hard to adjust the levels and keep your eye on your dog as well ...

I've said this before but I know a guy that has a 1992 Judge Plus that he still uses today. Granted he rarely ever needs to stim his golden (its 8yrs old) but he puts it on just in case he forgets in his old age... its been sent back to TT 3 times for battery and some minor repairs of wear and tear.

I know quite a few guys that own the XLS models that were bought back in 2000-2004. All of them would love to step up to the G2 Tubes but can't because they have no reason to. It seems everyone likes the G2's size and layout...

just spend the money, you will not be sorry
