Valuable advice. My daughter learned a while back why you don't use a dog's butt for a pillow. Same kind of lesson: we learn from you, and we don't have to suffer.

Wader belts are an awesome invention.

Bubba demonstrated that when you drink too much beer wearing waders, you get wet, but at least its warm at first...

A slightly deranged mountain-climbing buddy of mine informed me that when on the mountain, you pee into a plastic bottle and seal it up at night. 1) you don't have to leave the tent, and 2) you have a hand warmer for about an hour. I'll stick to dog training.

How true. We all have to learn that lesson once it seems! :p

I have heard that as well. You can put it at the bottom of your sleeping bag to keep your feet warm. Ain't tryin it though!:p

I hear it's a vicious cycle when he get's cold he to shiver down a few cold barley pops so he can get warm again.

Well, I don't know about it being a vicious cycle, we like to think of it more as a workout routine. Being regular is where you get the most benefit...

Actually, if you have a water proof coat that is zipped all the way up, and you can tighten the waste, you stay pretty dry. I slipped on some slick mud on the edge of the ditch around our flooded field last year and went in up to my chin. One arm slightly wet, and a little down my collar but that was it. since I have always had my rain coat on and snug when I im in cold water cause it saved the hunt that day.

Just wanted to share what I had found after finding the same result as the OP a week earlier.....

FWIW, I found that when checking a diaper you should pull the diaper out by "plucking it rather than hooking the inside with my finger......
