I've been lurking awhile and thought it was about time I got on board with an introduction.
My name is Pete Markantes and have Ornbaun's Pearl Buck MH, "Casey". She was bred by Barbara Ornbaum and started by Butch Higgins of Parkdale Kennels in Rainier, OR.
We have participated in hunt tests for the past 2 seasons. Following Casey's initial training (and in spite of my many rookie handling errrors) I handled her through Senior Hunter. When it came time to play with the big dogs we decided to put her with Butch who got her MH at 2 years and qualified her for the National at 26 months.
I've gained a great deal of information from this site and look forward to making new aquaintances through the forum.
