Finally bought a pup out of "Izzy". bitch is a NFC AFC Abe's ebony and ivory daughter.

Any thoughts out there on this breeding? Any feedback ya'll have would be great.

Thanks,

Richard

My Izzy pup just turned two and is out of a MH bitch. She is a maniac when it comes to retrieving and is one of the most athletic dogs I have ever seen. She runs effortlessly and is fast as can be.

She can jump like a jack rabbit - literally clears the top of the 6 foot dog kennel jumping up and down when I walk towards the kennel.

Her top two traits are never quitting and her ability/willingness to run through anything for a retreive. She does not try to take the easy path she goes straight through cover, never around it.

She would rather retreive than eat. This past duck season she had close to 100 retrieves and warm or cold went hard all the time.

Richard,

The breeding took place here at Drakehaven while Bob and Ann were at the National watching Regi.

I think the pups from that litter should be able to compete in trials & upper level hunt tests with no problem. The dam of your pup is very well put together comformation wise. She got some hand thrown marks while here and she definetly gets excited for a mark.

I used Izzy to try and improve focus and maintain bottom. My feeling is mission accomplished. My 2 year old by Iz had a derby 4th (only ran 2)
We may run some Q's this year, however the real plan is training for AA stakes.
