I have a female lab pup going on 17 weeks old. Super impressed with her desire / ability to learn etc. the one complaint / issues i have currently is LEAD BITING. Im slowly entering formal obedience and working more and more on HEEL on a pinch collar. When she gets super excited she will jump / reach back and grab that lead...hold it and pull on it. Anytime it swings by her face she loves to grab it. This takes away the effectiveness of the pinch collar.
I made a small diameter chain link lead that is just a nightmare to work with but it seems like she didnt enjoy biting that one as much... but only used it a couple times so far.
Does anyone have any suggestions on lead biting and remedies for this. A local pro told me they use the wonder lead for obedience / heeling. Watched a few videos and it looks like a good idea but not sure it would tackle my biting issue.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
