Zip tie their legs together and pull out the two longest wing feathers on one or both wings. Another way is to vet wrap their head to create a blindfold. As long as the duck can't see, it won't try to fly or run.

throw live shackled ducks on water..never on land..they will last longer

Is it OK to just cut about half of their feathers of each wing? .and not have to shackle the legs?
cut the flight feathers on one side only and if you dont shackle their legs , they will walk away and hide on land, and swim away on water

So what you are saying is; cut one side and shackle legs is a Good way in water?
I'm very curious because I failed water series today at Jr.on water flyer. My dog blew it off as a decoy and hunted everywhere. ( Haven't had chance to train for flyer in water).I think duck took 1 pellet to the webbing on its foot.

PUt a sock over their head use blind tape to secure. You got a wounded that will walk or swimbut can't fly or go to far.
