How does one qualify for the maser national. I understand that the dog has to have his master hunt title and pass six test. But what are these hunt tests or feild tests?

6 Master Hunt Test passes between August 1st and July 31st. By accomplishing that they are a Master Hunter regardless.

To qualify to run in the Master National, a dog needs six passes between August 1st and July 31st, and you'll be in.

The passes have to be AKC Hunt Test passes, from tests put on by Master National affiliated clubs (should say in the premium on Entry Express if it's a "Master National club").

Some folks may be reading this and thinking about the Qualifications listed in entry express (Restricted, Limited, Special). At least when I listed my first dog in EE I didn't know what these meant. Anyway, these "Qualifications" are related to Field Trials and designate that the dog is "Qualified" to enter these type stakes.

It's all baby steps, and it's good to have a goal to shoot for.
