I was fascinated by his book and think his dogs have a wonderful way of life for a true hunting dog. BUT...those methods won't work in New England rural/suburbia where I live. He is all about wild birds and letting the dogs run. Perhaps in another life? Meanwhile I am training at school fields, town parks, private properties, rare conservation lands that allow loose dogs with a very few state of Maine WMA thrown in(most of which are forest) with dummies, Dokkens, and some frozen ducks when no one is out to watch us.
