Edit: Thurs 6-28,
RTF'ers,
I have strived to keep RTF as censorship-free as possible while still keeping the board's dialogue and activities between the guardrails. Hopefully we can agree that the boundaries are a few football fields wide.
Debate, disagreement, varied opinions - all expected here! Normal.
What's not acceptable is: continued reference to posts that may result in one of our own being unfairly invesitagted in a federal offense, attacks against one's character that unduly negatively impact their livlihoods or reputations, general hateful sniping (especially when it's the same players over and over and over again) that degrades an otherwise helpful or valuable thread into another piece of junk.
All that I ask is that you think before you post. Debate the idea, the method, or the concept...do not attack the person - put them at career or legal risk, etc.
Surely you all can see this as reasonable and fair....Don't you?
Thanks....below is my original post. So far, ONE account has been deactivated. Please do NOT discuss this deactivated account publicly. If you need to know the specifics, contact me directly.... maximusretrievers@yahoo.com
The offending party will be reactivated September 1, 2007, provided that: he acknowledges the areas where we repeatedly exchanged dialogue around content - and where he fell down. He pledges to use the resource properly going forward.
Thanks,
Chris

I don't like deactivating RTF accounts.
RTF has always had a cyclical swing where sometimes it is more tailgate fun, sometimes it is more debate, sometimes more serious dog knowledge exchange.
We've gotten out of balance. I've PM'd, asked, even warned many of you to please help me (and us) out.
The arguing for the sake of arguing has no place here.
Please help me out. I've gotten some suggestions from folks of what RTF would look like if a handful of players were removed. I don't want to go there... Players, if you are wondering "is he talking about me?" This is a cue to tone it down and back off.
OK? Thanks,
Chris
