Just a quick brag on a training buddy and friend. Mary De Lamerens and her Toller, Blitzen, completed their Master Hunter title today at Wiregrass. Blitzen is Mary's first field dog. Mary is an amateur who put the training time in and was his sole handler. Way to go Mary and Skylark's RePete Adventure MH

Great news! Anyone know how many MH tollers there are? Very glad to see another; there aren't that many so this is a huge accomplishment, big congrats to Mary & Blitzen. A club member Ed Callender put a MH on his toller Mic last year, also his first dog and totally trained by him: Chesagrove's Mic Mac Scout MH.

Funny you should ask....

Blitzen is now the 16th MH dog between the US and Canada.

Eric,

Just for clarification, is that 16 titles or 16 dogs as several dogs with their MH in Canada also have their AKC MH. Do you happen to know how many MH Tollers in the US?

Thanks in advance.

Mary, I sent a private email to you. Your accomplishment is awesome. Way to go.

By my count their are less than or a dozen MH tollers living, heck their may be less than a dozen ever, you join some pretty rarefied air, enjoy.

Way to go, Mary! That is so exciting. Blitzen smacked that 3rd series triple.

Thanks for the congrats everyone. It has been an exciting and rewarding journey. It is hard to believe I didn't know what a hunt test was a few years ago.

My never ending thanks to Carol Cassity, dog and human trainer extraordinaire who is a wonderful mentor and friend.

There have been many folks who've generously shared their expertise along the way but especially Kathleen Luthy, Alan Luthy and Nancy Clinchy. The whole training group is just an awesome group of folks!!!
