you guys really don't understand why a nick works when the dog is already sitting?????? let me put it in terms you can understand (at least the married guys will understand)!
i came in from dog training shortly after dark tonight. my shirt drenched in sweat, my hands smelling of the stench of birds used one day too long. i see my wife's car in the front circle drive and touch the hood as i head out to the mail box, it is very warm she has recently come home late from work. i get to the mail box and it is empty. i hurry back up the drive and rush inside to see her.
when i walk into the kitchen she is standing at the island. on the island lays one open envelope, in her right hand is a bill i recognize from across the room. it is from a pro who trains one of my dogs and she is looking at me intently.
now this is the part where you guys learn something:
she is silent and i stand still and say nothing. as she walks past me towards the bedroom to change from her professional attire, she hits me on the side of the head with the bill and as the bill falls to the kitchen floor she immediately says, "DON'T YOU SAY A WORD!"
summary: i was not talking to begin with, i then recieved aversive pressure and was told to shut-up! does anyone think i have opened my mouth yet?
that's how it works!!!
