My female labs hips came back as mild hip dysp with subluxation of the left hip. we got it done right after her heat cycle while she was going through a bad false preg. at the local petsmart vet. would it be even possible to get a second set of xrays taken by a better vet and send them to OFA and get a better results. before sending in the xray i examined it and compared to to radiographs on the internet of how they suppose to look( i attended radiology school for a year). let me know your opinion. she has never shown any problems running/walking and no signs of pain.

Where are you located? Maybe someone will post a vet with good hip films references.
I would definately redo with a different vet and resubmit

The heat cycle and false pregnancy is also an issue.. keep away from their heat cycles...

And as others have said, get to a vet who does OFA regularly... where are you located? someone on this board may know of a good OFA vet in your area...

you easily could have some joint laxity due to the false pregnancy. I would wait about 3 to 4 months and have them redone. I had one lab with the exact same results--she didn't have a false pregnancy but the owner brought the dog into me while she was in heat. He wanted me to go ahead and take them and we got the same results as you did. I advised him to let me retake them in 3 months and the next outcome was "good"
