I have heard a few veterinary orthopedists lecture that a CCL injury can often be related to a hip issue as well. Not say that is the issue with your girl, but it would also make sense in a dog with a similar history where due to a weaker hip joint on that side, they bear more weight and put more stress on the opposite limb, resulting in cruciate injury, etc. Just food for thought...

My 45 years of observation cause me to refute that theory due to the significantly reduced incidence of clinical hip dysplasia and the significantly increased incidence of CCL injuries.
