Took pup in for first shots last tuesday, a couple of times she had diarrhea and I told the vet about it, he said we have had a lot of parvo around here. He asked if she was throwing up and she wasn't and since the diarrhea was going away he wasn't too worried. He also examined a stool sample. They gave me some stuff to inject in her mouth for a few days and She was fine up until Saturday and she had an episode of VERY liquid diarrhea, just poured out. Then she was OK this morning, but tonight she started throwing up, really fluffy and a fairly big volume of it. And lots of very liquid diarrhea, she also seems pretty sedate which is not like her. The diarrhea isn't bloody which is one sign I read of parvo, but it does seem pretty yellow. Going to take her to the vet first thing in the AM. Could it be a reaction to the shots or something else?

Well, dropped her off at the vet, they ran a parvo test and a giardo something or other test for another parasite, both are negative, they think she most have eaten something she shouldn't have. She is back to her wiggle work self today and busted upstairs and ate the rest of the cat food that was left before I knew she was there. The vet said if it is parvo though they might not be able to tell until she starts shedding them, so I need to bring her back if it happens again. Good news for now. Thanks for the help, I feel a little better now.

Funny Mark! Reminds me of my grandma's lab when I was a kid, when we were at chuch he got up on the table and ate a whole rum cake! And he was diabetic! He was lucky he was so sick my grandma would have beat the heck out of him if he wasn't so pitifull.

So I picked her up from the vet, they gave me some stuff to put the good bacteria back in her stomach, and all tests were negative. She's back to being a goofball again and had a semi hard BM, vet seems to think she just ate something, don't know what. The instructions on my paperwork are, "don't allow BB to injest any foreign objects, must be supervised at all times" LOL. Doesn't matter how good of an eye you keep on her she will get into something right in front of you before you know it. Worse than a kid.

Thanks again!

Yea, they told me that right away when I brought her in, didn't even think about it. Now, that's easier than it sounds. You try to keep a 11 week old lab on your lap when there are kids and other animals all around! She acted like I was teasing her with a steak or something! She about choked herself trying to get down and beat the crud out of me with her tail. I also got some anti diarrhea gel I am supposed to give her.

Glad to hear shes feeling better make sure when you take her in to vets you keep her up in your arms off the floor and away from other dogs. My vet has a big sign telling people not to put pups on the floor yet I always see someone letting the dog down. I have kept mine outside in my truck until the Dr is ready to see them.
