If you have a dog that chews a lot go to your local Grange/Tractor Supply/Ranch and Home store and buy a thick, "stall mat". Dogs Cannot chew through them or pull them up. (good for concrete kennels too) I think they are about $75. Shold be enough for two kennels. If I remember right they are 4' x 6' mats.

Tip for cutting them, just score the line with a utility knife as deeply as the blade will penetrate with a fair effort. Pick up the mat and fold it on the scored line and it will split open like skinning a deer. Cuts like butter.

have a chewer and he even chewed through those hard rubber horse mats as described above and they are said to be nearly indestructible. I'll leave bones and chew toys in there but noticed recently they are in the exact position as when I left. can't imagine what the poor little guy is doing all day. sleep, the life of a dog!!

There are different thicknesses? I could see a thinner mat but, it's nearly impossible to dig a thick mat out of a trailer. You can barely get a corner lifted. The thin mats are flexible and I could see a dog eating one.
