the spines and skulls to tell me how many pups you think KD will have.

I can count at least 8, but I think there could be more.

EDIT: Went back and looked again this morning using Photoshop to enhance image and mark off heads and skeletons. I'm sticking with 12.

the most accurate way to count pups on x-ray is to count skulls, the limbs and spines become confusing, my best count estimate is 11.......+/-

Tyler is doing great ! He is home now with Mamma and Lesa has gone over to North Dallas to see him. I can't go yet, because I stood out in that cold wind a week ago yesterday at the Evan Graham seminar and caught a very bad cold. I just don't want to take a chance on giving it to Tyler or Casey. I will get to see my new fishing buddy and assistant trainer soon though, because I know this cold can't last for ever.

Thanks to all of you for giving me your counts on pups. Sure hope there are as many as 11. KD sure is getting big, so hopefully by Wed or Thursday we will know exactly how many BM, YM, BF & YF pups we have.

I agree with Ed, best way is to count skulls and try to follow the spine of each. I counted 11.
The pup in the back looks smaller. I had a litter of 11 in 2004, they they varied greatly in birth size, and the smaller pups were a tad weaker when born. Needed a bit more help to get delivered and get the them breathing well.

Best of luck, sounds like fun but it gets tough trying to count those litter buggars when you want to be sure they are all accounted for. Especially when they get real active. I was VERY ready for the other 10 to go home after they hit 7 weeks of age, LOTS of work. But fun work.
