Where is a good place to look for a FINISHED pointing dog, preferably a lab?

It's going to be difficult finding a 'finished' dog for sale. Most PL owners train their personal dogs to that level. It's going to be a lot easier finding a 'started' dog.

What is your idea of 'finished'? What is your price range?

I will have two started labs available by summer's end. At that point they should be through OB, CC, FF, dechased, whoa broke, land and water singles and lots of upland exposure.

It will be a lot easier finding PL's at that level than 'finished'.

Black forest kennels has a great reputation for pointing labs.

Try Trieven Kennels out of Lovel, WY. If you look at most of the "pointing lab" bloodlines you will see Trieven blood in there somewhere. I drove out from Ohio to pick up my pup, will be seven years ago come June. What a great facilty and equally great people. They have been doing it for a long time.

They have a websight.
They also have started dogs from time to time.
