Seems like if you shot a lot of primer poppers around the dog that it would startle the dog when a live round went off. Any truth to this or is the guy that told me that a little off? I can see both sides.

I think todays trainers over think the process to much tech

Use poppers because they are cheaper and keep him aware of whats going to happen when gun goes off. Most of the time with live rounds means live birds and I dont think he even hears it when birds are flying and dropping.
