Mine has been decent, despite the lack of weather. I don't keep track of birds as some do, but I have had plenty of mallards on the BBQ.

This last, and only storm, made the season for most "rice shooters" in the central valley Pacific Flyway. Up until then, lot's of duckless days. Hard to believe only five days left.

More importantly, a second year dawg has learned a wealth of knowledge in the swamp. I hope all of you folks got a chance to see your dog improve their skills.

Take care all, John

Best ever for me, only because of hunting with the pup. Over the past few years, I lost interest in duck hunting. This year I couldn't pass up a chance to get her out on a hunt. Really honored to end up with such a great dog who loves what she does.

The only positive to come from this season is that I was able to do so with my pup. We ended the season with 51 birds shot over him and after splitting retrieves with my brothers dog we got 37. Other than that, the season was a bust with very few birds to be seen.

The few times I was able to go.....very good.

I'd say MO had a decent year, but nothing like what I expected. I killed around 50 ducks and usually I'm well over 100. We had a lot of stale birds, and very few big pushes of birds. The migratory geese haven't even showed up which is very odd for this time of year.

My worst ever. We didn't get the weather from the north or the cold temps to bring the ducks down.

With 5 days to go the only thing I can do is try. I'm going everyday through Sunday. Monday the dog training season begins. The dogs cannot wait. Atleast they can finally pick up some birds.

I have already posted on another thread: Tooka picked up 473 birds. 2 Mallards, 2 Dos gris, 1 widgeon, 6 spoonies, and less than 50 teal. Everything else has been grey ducks. And I have only hunted 1 time in the last 3 weeks with the baby coming. Given the way the season was going I think she would have been in the 550-600 range. There ware over 700 killed out of my camp.

We hunted big fancy blinds, sat in the mud on potholes, the middle of huge lakes, and did the old scout and shoot. Had a ton of variety in the hunts this year.

By far the best, most consistent season in the last 12+ years. Had a buddy that shot over 4 cases of shells... More of a operator issue than birds though. Haha.

REMEMBER, 90% of waterfowl are taken by 10% of hunters. We had another GREAT year!!!!!!!!

I definitley had the right spots this year in MN!! Best year I have ever had! Didnt have a pup to retrieve all my birds but this year will be different with a pup on the way! only 2 more weeks and he will coming home!

Tail of two seasons hunting up until Christmas was awesome.... After Christmas the bird faucet turned off and the hunts have gotten worse and worse down too no birds at all.

Whoever put you should have been working needs a shot in the coin pouch, I would rather be hunting any day, even with no birds.

I'm at 189 ducks and 8 geese, not record breaking - but not bad either. Hoping to increase those numbers this weekend.

We killed more green tops this year than I can ever remember. But thats not why I rated it my best ever. I got to hunt with my pup Zeke this year and enjoyed the heck out of watching him in the timber! Also got to spend time with my dad, brother and other family / friends.

In Ohio they re-adjusted the zone lines. At first I was not in favor. However, it turned out that we had one of the best season's on record. My group totals were close to 200 on ducks, but very low #'s on Geese. Take into account we didn't specifically target geese this year though.
