I'm thinking about sanitizing the water tanks in my trailer and topper. The only way I can see to access the tanks is through the filler pipe. I've thought about draining the tanks and hooking up my WysiWasher to the pipe that you fill the tank with, filling the tanks and letting them sit for a couple hours, then draining and filling with fresh water and probably filling them and draining them 2 or 3 times. Anyone ever do that or have any other idea to sanitize the tanks?

Dont know about using wisywash in water tank.
I use cup or two of bleach, add water, let it slosh around for a few days and fill/flush a few times. On mine although tank looks like a stainless box, tank itself is plastic.

Went to the local RV store and bought the product they use for sanitizing water tanks in trailers and RV's .... Will see if I can find the original package in the garage .....
I use 3 oz of bleach in 20 gal of water and try to do quarterly. Easy way to get bleach in tank is to pour down water hose, then attach (or insert) water hose to filler. Leave set for 24 hours, drain, refill with clear water, drain, refill, drain, refill.

Since there are several types of bleach, I consider most of us think of chlorine bleach when thinking of doing a sanitization job. if so you can also do a rinse with a tank of water and a box of baking soda after the bleach treatment. Takes some of the chlorine smell away.
