Yellow arrow shows direction of the wind.Very nice setup! Can you throw the birds w/ the at your back??or is it the wind coming towards the dog? Thx for sharing.
You wouldnt want to run a mark or a blind into the wind.Guess I was trying to say which way can you run the dog into the wind or the wind at their backs?
This is training and Yea it happens sometimes, but why would you ever do it on purpose? This statement is very true but on occasion it happens. Winds change and there are times when marks & blinds are unintentionally into the wind. Marks typically cause no problems but the blinds can be a different issue. Dogs can go self employed when their nose tells them a bird is ahead. Some will quarter all the way to the bird.
Cross wind blinds yes all the time. into the wind no.Maybe. Maybe not.
There are indications for both.
On blustery days I like the chance to run blinds(especially on water) into the wind. IMHO it provides a good training opportunity for casting into wind.
