Never thought that having a retriever in the house would come in handy till today. The wife was cleaning out her bird cage when one of the parakeets escaped into the living room. SoupyMH snatched the bird in mid flight and gently delivered him to my wife's hand. What a shame we didn't get it on video for one of those funniest video shows.

Good thing for Soupy that the budgie didn't protest! Those little beaks can be mighty sharp!!!

Good for Soupy. Just goes to show how handy a good Chesapeake can be around the house. Years ago, we had a Brittany and our parakeet got loose. The Brittany made a dive and wound up with only the tail feathers while the now tailess parakeet flew to the top of the frig.
