met a guy this weekend while working whose father-in-law is a fella named Stan Lieberman. He said he's close to 90yo but still trains for field trials every day. He said he has had some national level dogs over the years, was just wondering if anyone knew anything about him??

He lives in Rapid City. Don't think he's run a 'trial' in 30 years. Since the MRRC started hunt tests, all I recall him running was an occasional test dog in some of them. But he does still train his own retrievers almost daily, but I've not seen him for a year or more. Not sure about the "national" level dogs. None since I've known him.

About the only person I knew that ran a National from our club, was Howard Jacobs in the mid 50's. But I wasn't a member then, so Stan may have been in the game back then.

UB,
Actually he is still running dogs. He ran a dog at the Hunt Test in Rapid City this past July. A 3 + year old male Paha Sapa (there is an old line) Pickels, that was bred by Tanya Lieberman. He is like a Bulova, still keeps ticking, and still loves to BS.
