I used home made ones for awhile, not very satisfactory. So I bought some made by Butch Green. Life is easier now. I'm not very handy.

I tried the home made solutions for a bird dryer for a long time as well, finally went ahead and just bought one, Butch Green again!

Im made mine out of scrap chloroplast and plastic fence post. Light weight extremely durable and double as target hangers for shooting. Ive got like 3 dollars I each of my 5 and have used them 8 years.

I have always done similar to Ken. I use a disposable painter's coverall. I hang it on a wire hanger, then hang it on the top of plastic fencepost stake. I've never used the purchased ones, so I don't know what benefit they offer. I've just found these were awfully easy to slap together and use immediately without expense or waiting for shipping.

I was warned a long time ago by someone that their dog was spooked by the coverall arms flapping in the wind and therefore they avoided those kinds of stickmen. My personal view on that is that I'd probably get my dog used to these sorts of objects as something not to be afraid of. Of course, if I had a dog that really hated them, maybe I'd feel otherwise.

I use to use wire hangers and white t-shirts hung on my wingers. This year I am buying news ones, just not sure which ones yet.

Don't forget to make some stick women, too. I got one as a judging gift. One of my white Tyvec painter suits on a coat hanger thru a 6 ft garden stake - with a black bra donated by my co-judge...

I had to stop using it, tho. I had it out in the breeze near the fence on a turn of the gravel road around my back field. Two young ladies came around the turn a little fast, saw the stick woman and nearly went off the road...

I copied mine from Shawn White on here....two of the posts like Chris Atkinson has pictured with a grass seed sack zip tied to them. They are nicely collapsable and the grass seed sacks are durable. If you can get seed sacks get the 40 pound size....they are nice and big.

I used to use the tyvek painter outfits on a stick. Then we needed a stickman for a retired gunner to take out to help it be seen in a trial. I offered one of mine and someone offered one of theirs. I have since switched. These things are great, take up much less room in the breezeway than the old ones and Lou is a pleasure to deal with.

I use Gunner’s Up stick men. They have units that you can use as standout guns and make a manual reload retired gun. They are very reasonably priced and easy to set up. For the cover I use old long sleeve white “T” shirts. I buy a cheap king size pillow case and sew it into the bottom of the “T” shirt. Add a short piece of 1” PVC pipe in the bottom of the pillow case for weight. This makes very tall and cheap gunner. The arms to the “T” shirt will wave in the wind for a little real action at each station. Mine are at least 10 years old and are in good shape still.

I've got a couple that I bought from Evan Graham that work nicely, and then I have 3 others that are simply a plastic fence post with some PVC that I connect to the top so it looks like a "T". Then simply hang the white jacket onto that.

Made mine from pillow cases. Hang them on the launchers. Also devised a retired gun system that i can un-retire with a simple push of a button on a remote. good to about 300 yds. Works great and a lot less expensive than buying.

Few feet of PVC, a PVC cap, the longest bolt w/ a nut you can find, a PVC "T" and you got a nice and cheap gunner... The poles also serve as nice lining poles too and if you want orange, just take that bright orange duck take to them. I did mine in 3/4" so the aren't floppy. If you want to get really fancy, put two caps back to back with the bolt thru them. Don't glue the cap on the pole and you can reverse the bolt in the pole for storage.

Five of these are made by using a hooded painter suit drapped on two laminated (duct taped together) electric fence posts. Using two provides the needed height. The plastic "hooks" on the posts provide holders to keep the arms from flapping too much. The "extra stick bunny" was a gift from an somwhat taunting jokester in the HRC club I belonged to. They are over nine years old.

Once in awhile I take a suit off to use while goose hunting in snow covered corn fields.
