I posted a thread a couple weeks ago about a mishap I had during water training. I threw a bumper in the water, the pup went and got the bumper but on the turn around her collar got caught on some brush and I had to go in after her. Every since then she will get into the water up to her chest even up to her neck, but still won't go any further. The mishap happened 3 weeks ago. She's only 4 months old so I think she'll get out of it. Just wondering if there were any tips.

I live right by the lake. I stayed away for a couple weeks then reintroduced her. Same story different day since then. I've gotten in and played. My girlfriend has a pup 2 weeks younger than my dog and they love playing. I brought her out and my girlfriends dog got right in and started swimming. My dog still wouldn't get in past her chest. She'll run in it till it hits her chest then she's done. I tried teasing her with a bumper. I tried tellin her to sit in shallow water gave her a treat, then teased her with a treat she won't come past her chest. We see the lake and she runs to it but just wades in real shallow every time we walk to it. I appreciate the advice. All advice is much appreciated and will be taken into consideration.
