Are group was talking about are up cominig trip to Virgina duck hunting. A question was asked about how much to tip are guide. Are answers were all very different.

Here are some of the details: guide set 3 person max per blind, are group is 3 men; we are paying $175 per person a day for 3 day hunt; guide does not provide food or lodging. So what would you tip your guide, per person?

Thanks for the replies. Seems like using the waitress rule of thumb should be fair. 10 to 20 percent depending on service and success.
I can't wait for this hunt going to hunt with Chincoteague Hunting and fishing center. Will be completely different from here in southwestern Pa.

Thanks for the report. We were hoping for diver ducks, maybe some snow geese and brant. We hunt mostly mallards and wood duck here in Pa.
