Be careful and hope everone in the area is safe.
Numerous tornado tracks last night and more expected through tonight in areas of SE Al, SW GA & NW FL, basically in retriever country winter grounds locations.
.
"NOAA has said: “The severe weather event we are about to go through has the potential to be one of the most severe weather outbreaks since the 1993 Super Storm and possibly like the big tornado outbreak near the University of Alabama a few years ago."

It was bad between Cairo and Thomasville and Coolege and Pavo!

any word from anybody?

Live on 5 Forks Rd between Boston and Patton. 8 mi from T'ville, 8 mi from Pavo and 8 mi from Boston. Lots of rain and wind but nothing serious. I think it was mostly north of us. Albany, Adel and Barney. I have heard. Mobile homes really took it the worse.

Happy to hear it Tom

He's at Wes Lee's, right? Lots of big trees there.
He is at Wes'. Albany hit hard tonight in Radium Springs neighborhood. Second hit in two weeks. Unfortunately, multiple lives were lost. Lots of prayers needed.

Looks like power outages are common in the Ochlocknee, GA area where we are staying. No power & no water where we are renting. It was wicked weather early around 3 AM and then again this afternoon after a bit of sun. Good news is all the rain filled up our ponds.

Sorry to hear that. Scary.

Please pray for the Albany, Ga and South Ga area. It's worse than I thought. A lot of missing people right now. Workers trying to clear trees, etc., so first responders can get in.

Local news stories paint a bleak picture. Prayers sent.

I just bought a place in Radium Springs two weeks ago. As I was driving down from Pa. (1,000 miles) a tornado ripped through downtown Albany and we had to postpone the closing for a day. My realtor and Attorney offices were without power, internet, and phones.

I had Dave Thompson go over and check on the place this morning and the good news for me is it missed my place. But, only by a couple hundred yards!!!! My neighbors property is trashed and the road to my place (at one end) is closed. When I was there two weeks ago I didn't have a pond. Now? I have a 150 X 250 yard pond that is swimming water in the middle!!!! Must have dumped at ton of rain with that storm too.

Also, I just got word that all my snowbird (and local) friends are safe.

Very sad to hear about the loss of lives. My prayers are for you folks that are dealing with the aftermath.

Randy
