I'm training my first pup and I need a good video or series for upland birds mostly ruffed grouse. I would like one that goes step by step. It seems most are geared toward duck and I might do that in the future but have yet to hunt duck

Not sure about upland training. I have George Hickox "great beginning" and it seems ok but it may not be. I just don't know upland training.

Do a search on an upland shooting forum like this.

I used this to prepare for HRC upland tests. It is sound stuff. Also one of the series of Mike Lardy's Retriever Journal articles has a two part article on upland training that I thought was good.

It is great but it is for retriever training not upland training.

I saw this in Fleet Farm the other day. On the back it mentions clicker training. Can you describe how it's covered in the DVD?

I can't. I actually have "The Flushing DVD Collection of Volumes 1 through 3 with George Hickox". On the box (and in the picture) it is titled "Training the Upland Retriever". It didn't cover clicker training as is covered in "GEORGE HICKOX - GREAT BEGINNINGS - The First Year - Training the Upland Retriever"
