Do the test configurations set up at MOST Derbies test for this :?:
.......And when they don't, contrary to its stated purpose, doesn't the dog that, that day, demonstrates the best training win?????????

No matter what the subject or who posts it, you and Bubba can always be counter on for a meaningless interjection.
I wonder why that is ????
 The water in the PAC NW must be adulterated ?

It's to late for Bubba and he doesn't ever have "much"to say anyhow. But you........you might want to re-evaluate your posting protocol.

I didn't write the rules but in the Derby , according to them, The Mark is all that is suppose to be considered

Trained concepts are not to be considered, one of which would be fighting factors to go straight to the bird.

On a down the shore mark What makes a early beach and going directly to the bird less of a Mark then the trained response of not beaching and going to the bird.

For every trained concept there is a example of where scoring in the derby does not reflect marking to the exclusion of the trained response..................

I think that the whole notion that Marks can be scored in a vacuum is ridicules, and that Derby scoring rules should be changed to reflect how the stake in actually scored.

Sounds like you guys are into judging LINES instead of marks.
Like a hunt in front is better than a little hook behind
......And that you would take the hunt in front of the gun, with impeccable line manners, as a substitute for the good mark with a hook

It's kinda hard to argue that a dog that goes right to the bird on a slightly less than straight line did not mark it as well(NPI)

Now there is where the problem comes in ..in my estimation that is.
