I didnt consider, or ask, about American or British. I wanted taller, lean and fast. I dont really want a big dog, right around 70-75 pounds good. But I like longer legs for speed and slim build so they can work upland stuff without wearing out so fast. They are still very solid and strong swimmers. I looked for physical traits and pedigrees.
