pup is almost 7 months hold and is a very hard charger. I take him everywhere with me and as he was growing up he got in a habit of peeing when meeting new people. He has never done it with me but the mail man or anyone like that its a guarantee. I naturally would say no no no and grab him cause he was peeing on the carpet or inside somewhere.

so now the new girl i hired comes up to pet him and he acts like he is scared of her? i have never seen him crouch or be scared of anything. ears back tail tucked almost like he was saying- "please dont pet me cause i will pee and i know im not supposed to do that."

so i walk up to him and he is fine, wagging tail, ears perked up.

He has been around plenty of people and dogs. Maybe its my fault for saying no each time he pee'd on someones shoe as a puppy.

He's been scared of people all along - that's why he loses control of his bladder and urinates submissively...

Have her come over and just ignore the dog while standing still... scatter kibble on the floor all around her and let him eat

Might be a while but eventually he should associate her (and others) with the kibble and not be so focused/worried about the person, which will end the peeing and help him develop some confidence.

The other thing is to STOP chastising him. If he pees it's because you didn't do a good enough job of helping him learn people are OK.

Don't have her bend over to give him a treat or talk to him in any way. No touch, no talk, no eye contact, especially NO EYE CONTACT.

Repeat this a lot and you should see him gradually improve.

Habit's are trained .
Crates are good in the house.
New Girls hired by the hour are frequent.

Perfume/Cologne ,usually is a trigger for a nose .
I am assuming you don't use the same brand .

I have also discovered that many adult women tend to baby talk dogs, which often confuses adult dogs and sometimes they will pee submissively. I HATE it when a vet tech or someone else at the clinic baby talks my dogs!!

Some male dogs go through the submissive peeing thing. I had a lab who did it, he eventually got over it by the time he was around 1.5 years old. Personally, I wouldn't make such a big deal out of it when it happens, that could be adding to his anxiety as you saw. To remedy the situation, I would work on obedience hardcore. Like he MUST sit for greeting, no bouncing around excitedly and possibly peeing.

Maybe put him in an Xpen in your office. have the new girl or anyone else walk by his area and offer him a treat (calmly) and then walk away. He'll catch on pretty quick that people in general mean good things happen.

To be honest, I'm a bit "skittish" around certain women my own self!
