Hi Chris

I knew you couldn’t make it down to Treasure Coast FT this year, so we will bring TC to you. Here are a few photos and a few lessons I learned along the way. It will take me a few days to download and process the photos so check back every now and then for a few days. On the last day I want to tell about a lesson that I learned that I will take with me forever.

I only had one day off and spent the entire time with my friends at the Q. I heard the Derby was very exciting, but didn’t have enough time to go over. Hopefully, some others that were there could add onto my account here.

1# First thing I learned was that Corey had been working with a friends dog recently and that he would be running him in the Q. And run him he did, they looked really good as a team and ran the WB, here is Mr. Will coming back from the long memory bird in series 2#.

2# Next thing that I noted, was how good Randall's handling has gotten, she is smooth. I am calling this photo "Cleo likes Feathers".

Hey Chris, since Corey is now running FTs, he wears white, I thought he looked pretty darn sharp in it myself!

3# I now understand why Scott and Amy, call Thunder,.. "Thunder". The ground actually makes noise when he runs. I think he could be called "Earthquake". Thunder, here coming back from the LONG memory in series 2#.

4# I don't know if these three gals are listening to Scott, one bit. :) I would,...

Hey Randall, did you cut your hair a bit shorter too? It looks hot!!!!

Just learned that my friend and sometime training partner Scott Parker and Breeze got second in this. More local finishers were Dr. Jim, who recevied the RJ, Greg McGinn RJ in the Derby, while Scott Cormier and Ken Neil both got Jams. I am very happy for Scott and Breeze they are an amazing dog team with awful lot of talent. Way to go my friend!!!

5# Another thing that remained true was that GR are much easier to photograph than Labs.

This is a wonderful dog named MARLO, owned by Jim Bryan.

Bob and Lyle, always make for a great photo (too bad the photographer couldn't get this one in focus)

I also heard they almost made it to the fourth too!

Great photos Jim! Nice seeing you with your camera! :)
Congrats to all the winners, very deserving!

I think the focus is perfect...dog and handler....and a golden to boot! Nice job giving us a photo memory of the trial. Thank you!!!!

Jim
It was great hanging out. Tracy always has such a good time with you around. The pictures are GREAT as always. The first one, of Will, is Fantastic!
White is very slimming on me. I hope to be wearing it more often very soon.
Our locals put on a great showing
A huge congratulations to Scott Parker. What a nice dog and what a great job he has done with him. Thunder is something else too, he is young and has a lot more good things to come. Doc Wonell's Magnum was solid as always. All deserved the placements they received.
Treasure Coast puts on a great event, FT or HT.

Jim, Thanks so much for taking the time to post up the pictures. Corey does look pretty darn good in white.

Congrats to Scott on the 2nd!

Thunder looks a lot like his half brother up here in the flatlands!

I sure wish I could have been there.

Treasure Coast feels as much like my home club as any club on the planet.

Nice pictures brother Jim!

Chris

Dangit Jim, I was just starting to love my Northern New Mexico when you post all those delicious winter pictures. My dogs are getting rotten from the lay-off, but I am sure they will recover come spring. Thanks so much for posting so much fun!

Thanks, Jim, for taking and posting the pictures! I look forward to seeing more.

And also thanks for the honeybells from Harvey's Groves - they were delicious!!!

And thanks to our awesome judges - Joe Wattleworth, Fred Collins, Ann Steer, and Tom Fait.

Randall, here's a shot of Joe and Fred, wish I had a shot of Ann and Tom.

As I have mentioned before, things at Treasure Coast FT are different than most other FT because of the time issue. There is no sense of pushing to get anything done. It really makes for a relaxing atomsphere.

To have the three marking series like Joe and Fred had in the Q, was a true luxury and something that rarely happens.

I thought it was just SUPER! Hats off to the four of them.

Another thing I was thinking about this morning:

Has anyone ever been to a TC event and not seen Macy Swift marshalling, whether she is running a dog or not?

So many people from the club, working so hard to pull the event off.

How many people have had the pleasure of being greeted by Amy when they first pull in the gate?

Has John G, ever not been asked to shoot at a HT OR FT?.... Has he ever missed a bird?

Scott C, Scott P, Bob S, Corey and Greg always setting up in between running to get things off.

I guess that is what is takes and BOY, do you gals and guys pull it off.

I am sure I am forgetting some becasue I dont get to move around that much.

Sorry, for ones I forgot.

Thanks folks, I am glad some of you liked the photos.

Corey, you are one of the funniest guys I have ever met..... "White is very slimming on me."......:) So, great spending time with you and Tracy! That alone made the long drive worth while.

Susan, not only did Corey not break out in hives with the jacket, I believe he felt quite cozy in it. I believe he is going to get quite use to it, since he is getting one of Juice's pups too.

Carol, sorry about the warm weather photos when you world is so cold. I noticed the other day your location had gotten more snow than you deserve. I hope that trend changes.

well that's awesome Jim! But some of these guys may donn the white jacket, but they never truely feel at home... underneath the white, they have the closet camo undies I'd bet.

And, don't feel like you have to take any pictures of that! :D
