FC Fish Rivers Out of THe Park "Homer" I think is 60ish lbs and I have a small in height, built like a brick sh!!t house female from him

I watched Homer run this past weekend at the SRC judges seminar, he didn't strike me as a small dog. He was very lean, but had a decent frame to him.
I understand that , and judging by photos I have seen, he looks to be a fair sized dog. But he is in the 60 lb range that the OP asked about AND I have a smallish bitch by him. Faith is probably 20" at the wither and weighs about 58-62 lbs.

I have a FC Ricky pup that is smaller in size. He hits the scales right around 63#. Very athletically built. My male is out of a Dusty bitch that was around 65#. From my understanding Ricky is right around 70#. I spoke to the breeder probably a month or so ago and he said everyone that has a dog out of that breeding was saying they were between 55#-65#.

FC AFC Landover's Right On Target/Aero is a shorter, stocky-built lab IMO. I'm not sure what Aero weighs. His nickname is "Stubby". Aero is a very talented dog. He has not been bred very much, so who knows if he throws his size. It is difficult to say if a dog will throw small or large pups---lots of DNA particles and who knows what lands where??

2010 NFC Boo is a power packed 64#.

Should make a stylish, well tempered cross with our FC AFC Rebel daughter Reba at 55#.

Much easier to find bitch puppies in that range but here are a couple of sires that have sired at least a few smaller males as well:

FC AFC Calumet's Super Sonic- have heard of many smaller sized dogs sired by him, including Dusty who apparently also throws smaller dogs a lot of the time- I have a 58 pound male Soupy son

AFC Cosmic Blue Genes - have a 58 pound son, and met a sister who is also about that size

I was going to make a list of sires that also tend to throw smaller bitches but there are a lot of them; bitch size probably more easily predicted by the dam IMO.

Tiger.fc afc cjs mister t of Fred kampo has some smaller pups.
I have a pup out of Tiger. He is running on the smaller side. Just turned 7months, and is just over 40lbs. He's just what I wanted. Easy to lift into the duck skiff and boat. Lighter weight is easier on joints as they age too.

I appreciate everyone's input. These are some my thoughts for wanting a smaller pup. If anyone has any additional studs that throw smaller pups then keep them coming.

I am looking for a smaller pup, and I will look into these studs for upcoming litters.

We bred one of our females to Ricky a few years ago - all the pups in that litter seemed to be small, even the males. We have been around a couple of those pups over the years, and even at 2 yo, the males and females were pretty small. The same female bred to a different male had some really big 70+ pound males in her last litter.
