A mess of my bumpers live in the open bed of my truck, and my Lucky Dogs went to sticky goo there. Don't know if it was a chemical reaction with something, like when "rubber" fishing worms are in contact with some plastics, or just sun, but none of the NBs, EZ-Rotationals or DTs, some of which have been treated the same years longer, has had that problem. Though orange DTs have lost much of their color.

I get my 3" bumpers from DogsAfield. Great price and there is a discount for buying in bulk.

If you get the Lucky Dog don't get the ones with the valves because they will fall out at some point. I've had 3 fail in the last batch I bought. DogsAfield is always great about customer service and they sent me a replacement. Just plug the hole with some hot melt glue or silicone and be done with it.

I have 6 hexabumpers and you can't get me to buy another one of those rocks. Bad design IMO.

Try looking up indestructabumper.com we have been using them for the past few years and love them, made of a harder foam rubber with the rope going through the entire length, they will never sink, can be thrown a long way and as their name implies they are almost indestructible.

Im about to order 10 or 15 bumpers for some pile work. What is a good FF, force to pile, or just an overall good strong bumper. Ive been using the sportdog bumpers but there real skinny and dont last long with my dogs.
D.T Systems are what I use now. They do not get hard in the winter and are very tough. I will never change.

Started out with N&B and Lucky dog, and both while good, get rock hard in the winter. Never cared for the Hex from Avery. Also have 4 Dockens that are nice to use in a Gunners up when I haven't have time to defrost ducks.

I use the Avery 2" & 3" bumpers in White, Black/White and Orange. I also have several other brands, however, I really like the quality of the Avery Bumpers and they all come with a good high quality rope. I buy mine from GunDogSupply or LCS.

The bumper is much firmer than others which I think reduces bumper rolling and chopping. The training group I belong to uses about every bumper made, all of our dogs like them all!;)
