Black Walnut as Firewood, Worry for Dogs?

Received some Black Walnut firewood. I have it stacked and out of dogs' reach.

The Black Walnut tree has a toxic substance called juglone which I believe is concentrated in its buds, nuts hulls, and roots.

Is there a risk with Black Walnut firewood and dogs? Specifically, I am concerned about dogs getting a hold of some remnant pieces of the Black Walnut firewood and whether this could be toxic?

The only risk I found for dogs was the consumption of moldy nuts. If consumed they may cause tremors or seizures. Definitely keep anything having to do with black walnuts from horses, if you have any.

Juglone is toxic to other plants. It is a way black walnuts create a competitive advantage with other plants. I would be more concerned about the physical problems associated with eating wood, nut shells etc.

My dog yard is shaded by a neighbors large black walnut. My dogs have never shown any health problems associated with the walnut tree. Cleaning up the walnuts is a pain and the hulls make a big mess. A few years ago the house went into foreclosure. If I had know I would have cut the tree down.
