To Bon Mallari

May you rest in peace and reunite with your mother, Lanse and your loved ones on the other side of the river. I regret that in my former sales role business travels we were not able to meet up for a coffee and live chat. You provided and supported generously to the retriever world.

A longtime retriever friend sent me this image today and advised of his passing.

This hurts!
I was lucky to have been friends with Bon.
I'm a better person for it!

Just a great guy.

We talked a lot.

I cant even believe it.
I will miss him.

The FT world has lost a great Care Taker of the history of the sport.

He knew so much.

Love you brother!😥

RIP Bon. Condolences to Clint. Good memories of conversations.

From Bon's Neice.

"
From Melinda Mallari Swan dated July 30th:My dear Uncle Bon, youngest of 10 siblings, was 3 years younger than I and more like a baby brother to me. He lost, this morning, to the aggressive cancer he had managed to stave off for a few years, when doctors' initial prognoses gave him only weeks and days left to live. He survived beyond their expectations due to grueling experimental procedures, the stubborn will to live, and humor.

He was a sweet, too-generous, athletic, funny and loving man, courageous to the end. Missing you Bon."

Bon. we lost a treasure, your courage and wisdom and sharp sense of humor and love of great food. It was wonderful hearing old school stories and training hints.
Tell Lanse and girls hello. It just not the same anymore.

The “Ultimate Fan”.
REST IN PEACE BON
