Neither of mine know sit or heel when there. They go nuts and try to climb me like a squirrel in a tree. I think the staff thinks Im lying when I act like there trained.
Drove in parking lot today and female started chattering her teeth!!!

Mine seem to be fine. Could be because the vet tech always has a pocket of goodies that she gives out to well behaved patients.

Mine have always loved their "Uncle" Jerry. Don't really like standing on the SS table though.

My vet gets out the can of cheese and puts a line of it on the table, and "refills" it as needed. They could care less. They know EVERY drawer where the liver treats are kept, and yes, the cookie container at the check out counter.

Let's not even talk about the behavior at the reproduction vet.......
:D

For mine it is all the smells. SO MANY SMELLS. I actually started doing a quick OB session outside before we go into the door. That has helped. Along with having even higher standards then when in the field. He is still all jacked up, but will act right. BUT his tail and droolling are a major issue in the vets office. I guess that is the only way he gets out that he is so excited. For some reason all the training on "no drooll" and "no wag" has not been effective.

Same here! Its amazing how my big tough dog....turns into a giant WUSSY!

The best part is when the vist is over and we got the shots or check up and what not......He literally pulls me to the exit & runs to my truck:)

Our dogs are cautious of the slippery, highly polished linoleum floors. They sit obediently to be weighed on the scales. I think they like that part. If they have to be put on the ss table, they are OK with that, but are a bit nervous. On the way out, there are cookies at the counter so they like their trips to the vet.

Years ago , as I was taking one of our many dogs into the examining room, my vet said, "Oh, your dogs are always so well behaved". I laughed and said, "that's because we beat them!" My vet laughed, too, and that was that. The next time I visited the vet, he said that a client in the waiting room overheard my remark and asked if I should be reported for beating my dogs. I keep my mouth shut now, there are just too many idiots around.

Two of mine are nice and calm.

My old guy has been collected about 40+ times there, so ....:D

His tail starts waggin' when we get within 3 or 4 blocks.
