WTF!!!!

Heres what I think REALLY happened!!

Phil Simms is a good friend to MOST ALL the North East coast teams. I think he has a buddy in Mcdanials, and Belicheck!

I think DADDY wanted sonny boy to be a starter in the NFL!!

Chris Simms is aquired by Denver a few weeks ago as a "BACK UP" to Cutler!! I really dont think that was the cases,, and belive Denver was tryin all along to trade the dude!!(Cutler)

First Shanahan!!! Now this!!!

I'm gonna start watchin girls Vollyball!!! Lots more fun!!!

ESPN Radio today were saying that the Bucs had the inside track and the Skins were very serious too. The Bears wanted him the most and it made more sense to them to give up two 1st round picks then giving their divisional rival Lions draft picks for the rights to Stafford. Lots of teams desperate for what they think is a franchise QB. I guess being a whinner really does payoff. I personally don't think Cutlet is worth two number 1's.

yeah, they wanted oft injured over rated simms instead of the 25 year old rifle armed cutler:rolleyes:

Bottom line they boned themselves by trying to aquire cassel...cutler forced their hand

Its just too bad the broncos let the situation get to such extreams, and let the kid get that upset, to ask to be traded!!

Sounds like hes got a bit of an ego,, but what pro player dont! In my mind I think he IS a franchise player!

Denver won games this past year cause of him!
Denver defense couldnt stop a good college team never mind any in the pro.s

Our offense put good numbers up, 30 points or better a game, only to lose!!

I mean REALLY -----ORTON???? -----ya gotta be kiddin me!!!

Simms is reported to be in excellent health,, after his spleenectomy,, and throwing the ball well.
Coach was quoted as sayin earlier that they need a true competion at the Q.B. position!

Simms was a great texas QB!!!
Alot of promise, that fell to the unfortunate happenings of injury and bad luck!
If he comes back healthy,, and IN A GOOD SITUATION with A LOT OF WEAPONS,, He could do well!! I'm sure that what DADDY thinks!!
The Broncos have the Offensive weapons,, the defense however cant stop a good college team!!!

Look at what McDanials did with Basically a NO NAME when Brady went down!! .

I'm bummed!!

First, Major Applewhite started over simms....and he's bagging groceries now.

Second, Cassel isnt chopped liver he played behind 2 stud college QB's(Palmer Leinhart)....

Simms is nothing but a punk from Joisey:D

Gooser do you need put on suicide watch?;)

Cutler was pretty unhappy with the firing of Shanahan to begin with and what sent it over the top was when the new coach wanted to trade for Matt Cassel. Cutler then actually requested to be traded. I dont think it has anything to do with Chris Simms and his dad wanting him to be an NFL starter but everything to do with Cutler wanting out of Denver and Denver making it happen for him.

and then Sims was benched for Applewhite.

Who started UT's bowl games???

I can't believe you guys are actually trying to argue for Chris Simms being a good QB

. One poignant moment occurred at the 2001 Big 12 Championship, when Simms was responsible for four turnovers (three interceptions and a fumble) in the first half of play.[5] Major was seen attempting to rally the offense before they took to the field, even as the restless Texas fans booed Simms as he returned to the field. Two plays later, Simms became injured and Applewhite entered the game. His first pass was completed for an 80 yard touchdown and he baited the University of Colorado bench in an attempt to rally the Texas fans. Eventually Texas would come up short losing 39-37 after an onside kick attempt failed. His near miracle comeback solidified his starting position for the 2001 Holiday Bowl, where he would lead another comeback and throw for 473 yards and four touchdowns to win over Washington 47-43.

I think that is was a wise move by the bears. sorry about your loss Goose. But for the bears to give up two first round drafts was not that bad for the bears. Look at their past first rounders. Their first rounders are usually big flops, so my props go out to the bears. Now they need to get rid of that god awful offensive Coordinator.

The Broncos should of grabbed chicagos middle linebacker then they would af had at least 1 person on there Defense that could stop the run!!

Maybe San Deigos Q-back was right? Cutler was a baby!

We will find out in Bear country and a frozen ball! If he throws for 3000 yards he will be lucky this year, The Bears better get a Offensive line to protect him or he will be on his back just like the other Bear Q-backs....Ohh yea they need sombody who can catch too....

#26 ·
Good thing the Lions didn't get him, they might have actually won a game! lol

OUCH!!!! As a (bag firmly in place over head) Lions Fan (GULP!), that hurts...

According to the message boards, most Lions fans are quite pleased this morning that our new management and coaching staff didn't pony up the demanded goods for Cutler. He would have been a welcome addition, but NOT at that price when we have SO MANY other holes to fill.

Now if we can convert Calvin Johnson to a defensive back, Cutler will have somebody to throw to, Calvin will get his catches and everybody will be happy!

By the way Steph, how'd ya get my picture for your avatar? Thought I'd pulled all those off the internet:grin:

ok, as a hard core orange-blood - i have to chime in a little here....

Chris Simms is NOT my favorite UT QB, but if any of you really think that he is only in the NFL because daddy told someone to play him you are a fool. its all about money from performance, Phil aint that big of an influence. Chris aint that good of a QB either, but he still is good enough to make it on a team at some level. think about it, look at all the QBs in the NFL, how many did you not even hear about in college? they werent making news as heros in Div II schools, but they had things like height/speed/brains for the game/etc. to think an NFL coach and GM would risk their careers over a pretty boy that daddy Phil says play him is far-fetched to me.

its so obvious you idiots - Obama is nationalizing pro football and he wants to see diversity with a pretty boy blonde white kid as QB in the NFL to take heat off his other socialist agendas......

sheeesh, do i gotta do it all here??? ;-)
