Did anyone watch Kimbo fight tonight? Forget the fight, Kimbo scares the crap out of me just looking at him on TV. He is a freaking bad dude! I wish they wouldn't have stopped it quite so fast. I think Kimbo was about to send him into next week.

I think Kimbo has been exposed,he was almost finished by Thompson who has no ground game and a glass jaw.Brett Rodgers(the guy with the mohawk who fought it the 1st fight) knocked Thompson out in his last fight.I think Kimbo would get handled by Rodgers,who he is supposed to fight next,who has knock out power himself and has a decent ground game.Don't get me wrong I think Kimbo has great hands but once on the ground he is lost.I think EXC/CBS could have done better for there national TVdebut.They have plenty of other fighters they should have used.The Lawler/Smith fight was good and so was Carano/Young.They have KJ Noons,Gilbert Melendez,Jake Shields and Nick Diaz.Diaz would be to soon he just fought in the Dream3 show a few week's ago.Exc has great potential and great exposer now that they are on national tv.Kimbo would be scarey with a good ground game.My2cents.

Kimbo definetly is a bad dude. I would think he needs to do some conditioning though. The guy was wiped out and was pretty much on the bottom when down. Not that he was resting but not as agressive.
If a guy can keep him working for over a round or two he could probably beat him.
I don't think I would want to try though. You couldn't pay me enough money to get in the cage with any of those guys.

Kimbo would get killed by Fedor Emelianenko, but so would anyone else. Kimbo hasn't beat anybody good yet. He demolished Tank Abbot but Tank hasn't been good in 10 years.
I'd like to see Kimbo fight Tim Silvia... that would be a good one, hopefully he would put the hurt on Silvia.

If you want to see kimbo get exposed check out youtube and look up kimbo vs gannon. It is a fairly long fight that kimbo loses, his team trys to jump in every time gannon is about to finish the fight and then kimbo just loses his endurance in the end. The man can throw punches with the best of them, but I think he will get manhandled against a well trained mma fighter. The fight last night was stopped way too early, imo.

After watching Kimbo's pathetic ground game last night I'd have to say Dana White was right...BJ Penn would beat Kimbo; easily. BTW, I think that was a correct stoppage...that guy was out on his feet and one punch away from getting his brain scrambled.
That Lawler/Smith fight was great. Too bad the doctor didn't know wtf she was doing and didn't give Smith his whole 5 minutes before making the call.
Gina Carrano is a specimen of hottness.
EliteXC has a LONG way to go before they're offering the same caliber of fights/fighters as the UFC (or the WEC for that matter).

I think the whole thing was second rate. Long way to go to even come close to UFC or WEC or even IFL for that matter

There was early stoppages and I agree that it was done in part because of it being on National TV.I would like to see Kimbo/Paul Buentello.

The Faber/Pulver fight is going to be AWESOME tonight,also check out Miguel Torres tonight on the WEC card he is a Great Fighter at 135lbs.

Kimbo should have lost. When he was pinned on the fence and was pounded for about 45 sec's or so un-answered the fight should have been called.
