What is the current recommendation for Lepto vaccination? Once or twice per year?

It may depend on your location.
According to my vet, the lepto vaccination lasts about 9 months. Because we tend to have hard freezes and no exposure to lepto in the winter, he advises giving it once per year, but making sure that it's given in late February or early March so that the 9 month effective time will take us thru the "lepto months" here.

Be advised that there are different vaccines for different varieties of lepto. People in my area specify for the variety that is found on Long Island.

Well, I guess the So Georgia Lepto months would be all year......

I noticed that my last vet gave a Lepto 4 way and current vet gives it as part of the core vaccines, DHL.
